Green Lemur Ltd - Content development

Green Lemur have a range of content development skills that we can bring to your projects — both in-house and through a network of freelancers and suppliers we can call on as needed. We'd be glad to discuss any project as we are always looking to expand our repertoire of technologies we support, but the following list serves as a guide to the kind of work we do.

Artwork development
We use Adobe Flash and Photoshop to work with images. Particular strengths are in technical artwork and photo compositing/manipulation. We have created 500+ artworks for an online Maths scheme, and done a range of Photoshop work including creating screenshots for catalogues and demos and reworking stock images for use online.

QTi XML development
We have worked with a couple of publishers to provide XML-based assessment questions for online delivery. These were created using a mix of bespoke tools and hand-coding of the XML.

MS Word template creation
We worked on a small project to create some bespoke word documents that provided a custom toolbar for creating better quality manuscript. Using styles and custom functions the aim was to help authors write to length more reliably, to provide tools to constrain which elements could be added to a page, and to provide tools to manage inserting textboxes and images.

Software manual writing and delivery
Green Lemur have produced manuals for a number of large software applications in both HTML and PDF format for online delivery. We create text using the Markdown specification which can be easily versioned to HTML and on to PDF (using HTMLdoc). As it is a plain text markup format the copy can be easily proofed in its "raw" format, and the ease of conversion to HTML means it is quickly possible to put draft pages on the web for editors and developers to look at.
