Nigel's background is in educational publishing, where he project-managed a number of high-profile projects, from individual CD-ROMs right through to online subscription-based Maths and Science courses at GCSE and A-Level.
The level of project management we offer is focussed on the development end of the schedule, acting as a 'translation layer' to make sure your requirements are met. We take on a certain amount of development work ourselves but, more importantly, can manage other suppliers to produce the content and systems you need. As we have extensive experience on both sides of the process — editorial/management and development — we can communicate effectively and deliver what you need more efficiently.
Although PRINCE2 trained, we always tailor the level of management needed to the size of the project as PRINCE2 can be overkill on smaller projects that need to respond more rapidly to change. Our focus is always pragmatic and we aim to manage projects with a common-sense approach, emphasising good communication and systems above adherence to methods that may be inappropriate for your project.
